First Impressions

They say a first impression determines how a person thinks of you. It has a powerful and lasting influence.

But a first impression can happen as quickly as a second.

So how can you be certain you'll make a good impression? How can you set yourself up for success in the minds of other people?

• Collaborate and create

  • Taking advantage of opportunities as they arise while actively practicing your craft will help you make your own space in the industry.

• Make sure you have a high-quality sound

  • A great sound with focus on the details will immediately impress producers, managers, and artists alike.
    

• Solidify your brand

  • Making sure your image is consistent across all avenues (social media, DMs, in-person presence, etc.) will help solidify your impression in other people's minds. Inconsistency is often confusing.
